melia ochelle

Gifted another chance...

In what was another life, Melia Ochelle was a member of the royal guard serving the kingdom of Baron, a White Mage of no small skill. When the flames of war spread, the Contramemoria in its most violent days, she took up her staff, even as eidolons resonating with power and memoriates reeking of desperation alike proved to be threats. Standing beside her comrades, she gave her all to defend against the oncoming Darkness. Death in battle, however, would not be the fate that would steal her from the world she knew.

Whether by plan or by necessity, her aether, the very soul of her being, was preserved within a memoria crystal - a prison usually reserved for those monstrosities birthed by calamity. Ages later, when those who had been warped by the Void sought to use her essence as fuel to bridge their reflection and the Source, the timely intervention of the Warrior of Light and other brave souls, who had sacrificed themselves to seal the way, saw Melia's crystal pulled across worlds into another, familiar and strange all at once.

Now restored to life, in a body not her own, on a star not her own, Melia counts herself fortunate, even if that stroke of luck has its share of rough edges. Those who saved her have become familiar, friendly, perhaps even trusted companions. Though her aptitudes won't go unappreciated, she still strives to find her place here among these people and in these lands. While some questions may never find answers, and some things are better left behind, what can one do except take one step after another, into tomorrow?
